Added value of goods produced in Qeshm Free Area
The level of import of custom free goods produced in Qeshm Free Area to the mainland are based on the added-value percentage determined by the Added Value Committee.
This committee, which is affiliated with the secretariat of the Free Area, is comprised of:


- Representative of Qeshm Free Are 
 (From the Industrial Management Dept.)
- Representative of the Secretariat of the High Council of Free Areas.
- Representative of Iran Customs.
- Representative of the Central Bank of Iran.
- Representative of the Ministry of Commerce.
- Representative from the respective production ministry
.
                 

            

 

 

 



            The above committee determines the added - value for manufactured goods, 
                                       according to the following formula:

         ( CIF Value of produced Goods )-( CIF Value of Foreign Raw Material Used ) x 100

                                            ( CIF Value of Produced Goods )

The producer will have the right to import to the mainland, equivalent to this percentage, without having to pay import customs duties. The remaining goods can be either sold locally (on the Island), export to other countries or imported to the mainland by paying normal importation custom duties.

In line with industrial strategy, four industrial parks and two sites, each with specific industrial usage totaling to about 5,300 acres of land, have been developed:
