Special Licenses Activity
Investors engaged in any 9f the industrial, commercial and service sector who have special requirements in the form of energy, labor, infrastructure, land or whose activities have environmental impact, and also projects in the following fields are classified to require special license:
Airline
Banks, insurance and financial institutions
Bunkering
Communication
Power Station
Refinery
Banks and Credit Institutes
According to the Rules and Executive By-Laws of Monetary and Banking Operation in Free Areas, the establishment of Iranian banks as well as the establishment and opening of branches of banks and institutes, either Iranian or foreign, is binding upon proposal by the Free Area Authority and confirmation of the Central Bank. Also the establishment of money exchanging bureau will be possible through a license issued by the Authority and confirmation of the Central Bank. The establishment of banks and credit institutes will be possible in the form of public or private joint stock company with registered shares.
